Artist Biography

Davit Davtyan, born in 1961 in Pemzashen, Armenia, is a distinguished artist and educator. His artistic journey includes studying fine arts at the Yerevan Fine Art College after P. Terlemezyan from 1977 to 1983, where he developed his artistic skills. He also served as an art teacher at an art school in Maralik from 1983 to 1984, sharing his passion for art. Furthering his education, he attended the Yerevan State Academy of Fine Arts from 1985 to 1991, deepening his artistic understanding. Since 1991, Davit has been an art teacher at the State College after P. Terlemezyan, where he nurtures young talents. He's been a member of the Armenian Artists Centre since 1991, actively participating in the artistic community. His significant role in promoting cultural education and artistic expression is evident through his position as the head of an art department at the Ministry of Culture's "Cultural Education Support" Foundation since 2008. In 2010, he published a teaching program for the subject of painting in art schools, supporting the education of young artists. Davit Davtyan's legacy is marked by his contributions to art education and his impact on nurturing artistic talent in Armenia.
