Description
Vahan Roumelian was born in 1963 in Yerevan, Armenia. His artistic journey began with his education at the P. Terlemezian Art College, where he graduated in 1986, followed by studying abstract art in Paris in 1988. He completed his formal training at the Yerevan Fine Arts Institute in 1991.
Roumelian’s work is characterized by a unique fusion of colors and forms that seek to capture the essence of the human soul. His paintings are often described as a musical expression, where colors “breathe” and resonate, creating an emotional dialogue through visual art. His style blends elements of abstraction and lyrical representation, allowing viewers to connect with the deeper narratives within his pieces.
He has participated in numerous exhibitions worldwide, including venues in the United States, France, Italy, and Lebanon. Notable exhibitions include the Red Dot – Spectrum Miami, the Affordable Art Fair in Singapore, and several showcases at the Orangerie du Jardin du Luxembourg in Paris. Roumelian’s works are also part of significant collections, including the Modern Art Museum of Armenia and the Tehran Museum of Contemporary Art.
