Artist Biography

Alek Alekyan, born in Gyumri, Armenia, in 1966, is a distinguished contemporary painter. He completed his early art education at the A. Merkurov Art School in 1976, followed by studies at the Yerevan Art College and the Yerevan Institute of Fine Arts. Since 1998, Alekyan has been a member of the Union of Artists of Armenia. His works have been showcased in solo exhibitions across cities such as Yerevan, Moscow, Singapore, Boston, Paris, Beirut, and Toronto. Alekyan’s art reflects the joy of life, blending Eastern and Western influences with modern sensibility. His paintings are part of private collections in countries including Russia, the USA, Canada, France, Germany, and Lebanon. Currently, he resides and works in Yerevan.
